Jody Fennell is an innovative and strategic digital media executive with 14+ years’ interactive leadership experience, particularly focused on developing, implementing and running successful digital media solutions.
Most recently, Fennell took the knowledge she acquired managing large data sources at companies like weather.com and Allconnect, and applied it to a lifestyle issue for Abundant Closet – namely, answering the question “What should I wear?” She has led the creation, development, implementation and social marketing of FashionAde.com since September 2010.
Fennell is a veteran digital media executive; in 1998, she developed the first mobile applications for The Weather Channel, and was then responsible for the development and incubation of numerous new media products. During her tenure, she was awarded two patents for weather navigation and led audience growth from 8 MM to 35 MM, while she served as Vice President in several departments, including Product Development, Business Development and New Platforms. She left the company in 2006 for a post as Executive Vice President at Allconnect, where she led the development of the company’s first e-commerce solution to deliver home services connections via a single user interaction.
Fennell co-founded Abundant Closet in December 2008, and has led the company to achieve numerous awards and recognition, including selection for the ATDC CapVenture Program in 2009, winner of the Start Up Chicks Accelerator Competition and selection as a participant in the Venture Atlanta Showcase in 2010, and most recently, selection as a member of the Springboard Enterprises Class of 2011.
Fennell is a graduate of New York University; a native New Yorker, she currently resides in Atlanta with her husband and two children.
